JSB support for Linux

Feature #3895 [Closed]
azmeuk 2014-02-05 19:24 . Updated almost 11 years ago

Hi,
It would be great to support Javascript bindings on linux. On this thread, 9 months ago, it is said that it was not supported because there was not a lot of requirements for the platform.

Well even if users doesn't often use linux, developers does ! :) Also, Steam is now supported on linux, and opened a way for video games on this platform.

It was said that there were some issues with SpiderMonkey too. 9 months later I can see that SpiderMonkey is packaged for my distributions (mozjs17 on Fedora 20 and libmozjs-17.0-0 on Ubuntu 13.10), and it is very easy to build it on linux (just run ./configure && make, and that's it!).

My question is, regarding this, do you plan to support JSB for linux, and if not, will you let me give a try ?
